Introducing the CASA Chail, a remarkable vessel under the ownership of CASA Shipping and proudly flying the flag of Qatar with Doha as its port of registry. Constructed by Strategic Marine (S) Pte. Ltd. and delivered in 2006, this aluminum-hulled vessel bears the hull number 145 and holds the Official Number 305/10, previously known as the SVITZER AL SHAQAB.
Designed as a versatile wellhead maintenance and crew supply vessel, the CASA Chail holds classification certification from Lloyd’s Register with notation +100A1 SSC, Work Boat, Mono, HSC, G6, demonstrating adherence to stringent safety and quality standards. Its impressive tank capacities include 26.6 m3 for fuel oil, 22.7 M3 for fresh water, and 6 m3 for chemicals, ensuring ample provisions for extended maritime operations.
The CASA Chail boasts a spacious deck layout with an aft deck space of 67 m2 and a loading capacity of 2T/m2. Equipped with essential ancillary equipment such as a HIAB 022T-2 crane with a safe working load of 1.73 T, a HYPAC HHAW1516 anchor winch, and deck sheathing made of 15 mm timber hardwood, this vessel is ready to tackle diverse marine tasks with ease.
Powered by twin screw fixed pitch propellers and propelled by two CAT C32 engines, each generating 1081 KW, the CASA-III can achieve speeds of up to 20 knots at 100% MCR, ensuring swift and efficient operation. Additional maneuverability is provided by a Side Power SP550 bow thruster.
Accommodations onboard the CASA Chail cater to the comfort and convenience of up to 50 individuals, including crew and passengers. With 8 bunks spread across 4 cabins, seating for 36 passengers on the deck level, and essential facilities such as toilets, showers, and a mess/galley, this vessel offers a comfortable and functional living environment.
Equipped with comprehensive radio communication and navigation equipment, including VHF/DSC radio, AIS, SART, and EPIRB, as well as radar systems, compasses, and GPS systems, the CASA Chail ensures safe and efficient navigation in various sea conditions.
