Overview
CASA Solan is an exemplary vessel owned by CASA Shipping and proudly flying the flag of Qatar with the port of registry in Doha. Built by Strategic Marine (S) Pte. Ltd in 2006, this aluminium-hulled beauty boasts a rich history, having previously been known as the SVITZER AL SAFLIYA.
With tank capacities of 26.6 m3 for fuel oil, 22.7 m3 for fresh water, and 6 m3 for chemicals, the CASA Solan ensures ample provisions for extended voyages. Its versatile deck layout features a spacious aft deck space of 67 m2 with a loading capacity of 2T/m2, equipped with a HIAB 022T-2 crane with a safe working load of 1.73 T and a HYPAC HHAW15-32 anchor winch.
Certified by Lloyd’s Register with notation +100A1 SSC Mono, HSC, G6, the CASA-I adheres to the highest standards of safety and quality. Its propulsion system consists of twin screw fixed pitch propellers, driven by two CAT C32 engines generating 1081 KW each, with additional manoeuvrability provided by a Side Power SP550 bow thruster.
Measuring 31.0 meters in length overall (LOA), 7.5 meters in beam, and with a depth of 3.01 meters, the CASA-I offers ample space for accommodation and operations. It can comfortably host up to 50 individuals, including crew and passengers, with accommodations comprising 8 bunks in 4 cabins, and seating for 36 passengers on the deck level.
Equipped with essential ancillary equipment including generators, firefighting pumps, air compressors, and navigation aids, the CASA Solan ensures the safety, comfort, and efficiency of all on board. Its comprehensive radio communication and navigation equipment further enhance operational capabilities, making it a reliable and versatile vessel for a wide range of maritime tasks.
